CSCS Annual Members Meeting
A CSCS Member is a parent of a traditional, in-seat student attending CSCS during the 2026–2027 school year.
Dear CSCS Families,
We are excited to introduce three new outstanding individuals who have been nominated to serve on our Board of Directors: Becca Gonzales, Dave Michaux, and Scott Park. Each of them brings unique gifts, professional experience, valuable perspectives, and, most importantly, a genuine commitment to the Lord and to CSCS.
We are grateful for their willingness to serve and to give their time, talents, and leadership to this important work. Their enthusiasm, dedication, and experience will be a wonderful addition to our Board, and we look forward to the ways God will use their gifts as we continue to advance the mission of CSCS.
As part of the Board selection process, our members will have the opportunity to affirm the slate of nominees to serve on the Board of Directors: Ted Collas, Becca Gonzales, Dave Michaux, and Scott Park. The proposed slate has been approved by the current Board of Directors and will be presented to the membership for affirmation at the CSCS Family and Staff Gathering (Annual Members Meeting) on Monday, September 14, from 3:45–4:45 p.m. in the Springs School Main Gym.
We are thankful for each of these individuals and their willingness to step forward in service to our school community. We look forward to seeing CSCS families at the Annual Members Meeting on September 14 and to beginning another wonderful school year together.

Meet
Ted Collas
Ted Collas is a native Coloradan; he and his wife Stacy have lived in Colorado Springs for nearly 40 years. Both of their sons are lifelong residents of our city. Ted served this community as a firefighter for over 36 years; the last five were in the position of Fire Chief. In retirement Ted serves on several boards, but his most rewarding work is spending time with his three grandchildren. Ted’s greatest desire is that his service to the Lord shows in everything he does, whether at work, rest, or play.
Meet
Becca Gonzales
Becca Gonzales is a devoted follower of Jesus, wife to J.R. of 15 years, and loving mother to their three children: Carabelle, Azaiah, and Judah.
For the past eight years, she and J.R. have partnered with CSCS in the biblical education of their children. Guided by Jesus' words in Matthew 19:14, she is dedicated to family discipleship and Christian education. She is honored to serve CSCS with biblical discernment, thoughtful leadership, and a servant’s heart as she helps strengthen its mission for future generations.
She holds a B.S. in Business from Colorado Christian University and is a certified life, marriage, and biblical counseling coach, as well as a licensed and ordained chaplain. She and J.R. have faithfully served marriages and families through New Life Church while also co-owning and operating their local family roofing company. She brings a heart for servant leadership, combining ministry, business experience, and a commitment to honoring the Lord in all she does.
Becca has a deep desire to help families grow in biblical truth. Guided by John 8:32, her prayer is to faithfully follow Christ and reflect His love in all she does.
As a prospective Board Member, she seeks to strengthen CSCS by supporting a Christ-centered community rooted in biblical truth, unity, and servant leadership. Guided by Ephesians 4:3, she believes that leaders, teachers, parents, and students are called to work together in unity to honor the Lord.
Above all, she desires to faithfully steward every opportunity God provides, helping ensure that students receive not only an excellent education but also a lasting foundation of faith that equips them to love Jesus, follow His Word, and impact the world for His glory.
Meet
Dave Michaux
Dave Michaux was born in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Colorado Springs as a child. The Lord used that move to bring his family to Christ. He attended schools in Colorado Springs and later graduated from Emmaus Bible College in Oak Park, Illinois. It was there that he met Lynn, who became his wife and has been his faithful companion and coworker for 56 years. Together they have two married adult children, five grandchildren, and one grandson-in-law. His children and four of his grandchildren graduated from Colorado Springs Christian Schools.
Dave's home church has been Northeast Bible Chapel, and he has also had the opportunity to be involved in two church plants in Colorado Springs. Following a short period of evangelism in Ireland, he began his teaching career at Colorado Springs Christian Schools, where he served as a Bible teacher and administrator for 45 years.
Meet
Scott Park
Scott Park is the Senior Pastor of Impact Christian Church in Woodland Park, where he has served for more than 18 years. Before coming to Impact, he served as a pastor at Discovery Church and Envoy Christian Church in Colorado Springs. Altogether, Scott has invested more than 33 years in ministry throughout the Pikes Peak region. Scott and his wife, Kim, have been blessed with two grown sons, Ethan and Garrett, who both love the Lord and are serving Him—one in Virginia and the other here in Colorado Springs. Kim is a longtime Christian educator, having taught at CSCS before joining ACSI , whom we are accredited with, 11 years ago. Both Kim and their sons are proud CSCS graduates. Outside of ministry, Scott enjoys spending time in God's creation, whether backpacking, hiking, or skiing. He is also an avid sports fan and faithfully cheers on the Denver Nuggets, Denver Broncos, and Kansas State Wildcats.
CSCS Board Bylaw Change
Dear Parent Members,
At the upcoming CSCS Annual Members Meeting on September 14, the Board will ask Parent Members to vote on a proposed amendment to Article II, Section 4 of the school’s bylaws.
The proposed amendment would provide the school with additional flexibility in how notice of the Annual Members Meeting is communicated. Currently, the bylaws require notice to be sent by first-class mail. The proposed amendment would allow notice to be provided by first-class mail, phone, email, or other electronic notification.
The purpose of this change is to give the school greater flexibility in communicating with Members while helping to reduce postage and mailing costs. Importantly, the required 10-day notice period will remain unchanged.
